I'm Back with Card # 90

I am finally returning to blogging.  The past few months have been difficult, terrible, mind boggling and down right depressing.  But I am finally out of my despair and getting back into my crafty mode.  This was one of those times where life got in the way and I felt as if everything was topsy-turvy with no right side up.  Thank goodness for my hubby and kids they kept me grounded and the Lord kept me steady through this ordeal.  I truly believe 1 Corinthians 10:13, New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) now more than ever.

13 No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.

The card I am sharing today I made for a very special little boy in Germany for his 1st birthday.  His Mama lived with us in 1999-2000 as an exchange student.  She is now married, a school teacher and a mom.  She is a wonderful girl and we are so blessed to know her and her family.   This little tractor was inspired by a similar card I found on Pinterest.  Very appropriate for a little boy living near his Grandpa's potato farm.

Card #70, Happy Birthday Joey!!!

This card was a family project made by my kids with the help of my hubby. Joey Saldana, a World Of Outlaws sprint car driver and our friend, is having a birthday later this week.  We are taking trips this summer to Dodge City, Kansas and Pevely, Missouri to see him race. He is a great family man and a terrific race car driver.  Kids love him and DH is a sprint car fanatic.  Happy Birthday, Joey!!

Card #67, Punch Art Fish

I made this card for a Reflections of the Sea card swap on Swap-Bot.  Now "Reflections of the Sea" sounds sort of serious, but I could not help myself  I needed a laugh and some cuteness today.  Here goes!!  The inspiration for this cutie was found on Pinterest.  This will make a perfect kids (or young at heart) birthday card.  Easy peasy and so much fun.  Now it is in the mail on the way to California to the home of one of my favorite swap partners.  I am sure she will like it.

Card #7 Rich Razzleberry Birthday

This card layout was inspired by Dawn Olchefske of Do Stamping with Dawn.  I received it as part of her monthly card club.  All I needed to do was apply my own stamps and assemble.  The base color Rich Razzleberry is one of my favorite Stampin Up card stock colors and I always have some on hand.  It is good color anytime of year.

Card #6 Birthday Card

This card was made for a Pink, Brown and Beige Birthday Card swap on Swap-Bot.  It is one of my favorite punch techniques where you cut out the top layer then punch the image and cover the opening with DSP paper for the background and add some accent layer in the center to complete.  Very easy to do and it is a nice effect.
