Card #83, For a Friend

First time I have ever tape a paper sack to a card. I have a gift card ready to go in this and out to the post man in the morning.  I used a new stamp set form the Simon says stamp March card kit.  I must say I really like this set, it was designed by Kristina Werner--very talented!!!

Blog Update and Changes

I am finding it a bit difficult to keep with making one card per day, so I am going to just post when I can and not daily, I was so happy to make it into the 80's but boy has it been a lot of work.  The idea well is drying up and this adventure is becoming more a chore than guilty pleasure.

Card #82, Quilt Card

Another card with a quilted  type pattern very similar to yesterdays card with a few changes, I switched the base card stock and added a button. I may stamp a sentiment in the bottom corner but will wait on that until I am ready to ship it off to someone.  Picture not so good, you cannot the stamped image on the label with button on it.

Card #74, Tranquility

I love SU Kanji stamp set, it was one of the first stamp sets I bought and I will hold on to it forever. I have had the bamboo stamp forever and this is the second time  I have used it.  I lived in Japan for eight years and my children are adopted from China, so this character set and the bamboo mean a lot to me.

Card #73, Another Yellow Card

This card is exactly the same as yesterday but I used different colored buttons and a larger stamp. Looks great with the addition of colored buttons. This was really a very easy card to put together. If I ever host a card making party this would be one of the cards I would make up for it.

Card #70, Happy Birthday Joey!!!

This card was a family project made by my kids with the help of my hubby. Joey Saldana, a World Of Outlaws sprint car driver and our friend, is having a birthday later this week.  We are taking trips this summer to Dodge City, Kansas and Pevely, Missouri to see him race. He is a great family man and a terrific race car driver.  Kids love him and DH is a sprint car fanatic.  Happy Birthday, Joey!!

I made this card for a Reflections of the Sea card swap on Swap-Bot.  Now "Reflections of the Sea" sounds sort of serious, but I could not help myself  I needed a laugh and some cuteness today.  Here goes!!  The inspiration for this cutie was found on Pinterest.  This will make a perfect kids (or young at heart) birthday card.  Easy peasy and so much fun.  Now it is in the mail on the way to California to the home of one of my favorite swap partners.  I am sure she will like it.

Card #62, Miss You

Patriotic version of a Miss You card I made for OWH.  I also used this layout to make a Christmas card.  This layout is easily adapted to any paper, although it is lots of layers--which make the card front very heavy so you must put a layer of white on the inside to balance it out a bit.
