Similar to yesterday's card style except it is a stand 5-1/2 by 4-14/. Great card for the OWH mission.  I really liked the Poppy Parade, I was sad to see it go.

Card # 58, A Square Card

This is a 5x5 square card I made for Operation Write Home in 2011. They prefer the cards have few embellishments and be as flat as possible. No glitter at all is accepted due to the fact it could endanger our troops by making them visible at night.

Card #57, Black and White Butterfly

Due to being excessively busy the last two weeks with my kids school and dealing with sickness I have been sharing cards from the past.  Favorites that I made in 2010 and 2011.  I hope to get back to card making this weekend once my kiddos play is over.  At least that is my plan.

I love this card and it would look good in any color.  Easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Card #56, Flower Pot Version 2

This flower pot card has the flowers attached to a piece of card stock that slips into a pocket.  This was a fun card to make and I loved the blue/brown combo.  This card was made in August 2010 for a card swap.

Card #55, Flower Pot Cards Version 1

Looking back to 2010 I went through a flower pot card period. Here are a few for you to enjoy.  Not sure why I made so many, they are not easy to mail and require an extra large envelope due to the bulky flower--what was I thinking!!  Now days I try to keep my cards flat to keep postage cost at a minimum.

Card #52, Merry Christmas

My Internet issues have finally cleared up.  We have switched to cable for Internet and phone, must say I love he faster speed although it took two days for the cable company to get it right--the first modem had a loose connection and kept dropping off. I was so busy with the transition that I have not had time to make any cards so I went through my old pics and found some from long ago. This card I made in October 2010, it is one of my favorite cards and one of the first easel cards I ever made. I must say I was very proud of it.

Card #45, Just Because--Sorry it's late, thanks AT&T!!

We continue to have problems with our Internet connection provided by AT&T, fortunately we are switching to cable next week, hopefully we will have a more reliable connection. So here is the card I meant to post yesterday on 14 Feb, it is not a Valentine because I am not a big fan.  It just gives people an excuse to buy chocolate--I have never needed an excuse to buy chocolate. 

This is another card from the Do Stamping with Dawn kit, this one is exactly as she had designed because I happened to have the exact stamp she used in her sample.  It is not often that I make 4x4 cards, but I like this one a lot so I may make more like it.  It would make a great thank-you card for the kids teachers.

Card #41, A day late, thanks AT&T

Sorry for not posting card #41 on day 41, but I had no Internet service Sunday, a problem that is becoming way to frequent and increasingly aggravating. I guess it is time to go back to cable. BooHoo!! On Saturday I received a packet of cards kits from Dawn Olchefske of Do Stamping with Dawn, she has a monthly card club and occasionally I will buy one of the leftover kits packs. This week I will be featuring cards from this package. The kits comes with everything you need to make the card except stamps and adhesive. Here is the first one, a get well card. Dawn's card sample had a band aid stamp with the heart. I chose a heart stamp and get well sentiment. Pretty cute!!

Card #40. Wow, I made it to 40!!

Number 40, never, ever have I made 40 cards in as many days or posted this much. I am thrilled that I have manged to stick with the challenge I set for myself to make a card a day for 2013. Card #39, Another Green CArd

I plan to make more of this style card, easy design, uses up bits of crazy designer paper, and is just darn cute. Same as card #38, I chose a different DSP from same pack and used gossamer ribbon. Easy peasy. Trust me that this is green, need to work on my camera technique or hire my hubby to take the photos.

Card #38, Green Birhtday

Another lovely day in North Texas, we are expecting some rain showers this evening and possibly a thunderstorm. This card is CASed from one I saw on the web and I cannot remember where I found it. I made it for a green card swap on Swap-Bot and did not want it to be a St Patrick's theme but something that could be used anytime of the year so I chose birthday. One can never have enough birthday cards.  Tomorrows card is very similar just different DSP and ribbon.  Love the green.

Card #37, Yellow Flowers

Another beautiful day in North Texas, we have just entered Stage 3 water restriction due low lake levels caused by severe drought.  We are due some rain this weekend, I pray that we get it.  This simple card makes me year form spring, I hope we have flowers this year although I am not to optimistic.  At least I can have flowers on my cards.   This one I am entering in the current Make It Monday linky party--a very fun blog.
